This group of 6th graders finished 2nd in Nascar’s first P.I.T. Crew Project competition! Friction Defiers were one of four schools to make it into the finals. Their project was about the degree of banking on a race track and its connection to speed and weight of the cars. It was a pleasure to work with this group! Congratulations to Randolph Middle! Randolph finished first and won a $50,000 innovative learning lab donated by Nascar. Friction Defiers didn’t walk away empty handed though. We got to go to the  Coca-Cola 600 Nascar Race. It was the first Nascar race for all of us and we had a wonderful time! Thank you for donating the tickets Cocoa-Cola!  Thank you for organizing such an awesome project  and competition, Nascar Foundation. Putting time, energy, and money into education is something you will never regret! I look forward to seeing you take the P.I.T. Crew Project to the next level in 2016!
