Tasks

Students have been enjoying working on 3 tasks. The tasks take a decent amount of time to complete. This teaches students that some problems can’t be solved in a few minutes. They are utilizing patience and perseverance. Students are also learning that Task 2 can’t be completed before Task 1. Also students need the answers to Task 2 before they can complete Task 3.

Students know that it is important to be able to explain how a problem is solved in written form.

Students used collection cards to sequence numbers and added the numbers to the numberline. They will be starting their own collection! Rocks! Their goal is to reach 1,000! .
